Trainers

The facilitator of communicative language lessons and project manager is Helena Metslang, who holds a PhD in linguistics. Helena has 20 years of experience teaching Estonian as a second language. From 2018 to 2020, she served as an Estonian language lecturer at Beijing Foreign Studies University, commissioned by the Archimedes Foundation. Helena has worked as a language advisor at the Ministry of Education and Research and as a language learning expert at the Integration Foundation since 2008. From 2005 to 2008, she led the national project “Development of Estonian Language Learning in Non-Estonian Vocational Schools” for the foundation. She has published the handbooks “Guide to Independent Language Learning“ and “Educational Programs in Simple Language for Estonian Learners: A Methodological Guide for Educational Programmes at Cultural and Sports Institutions”.
